Goals

• Build home libraries for low-income children ages birth-18

• Provide a minimum of six and a maximum of 12 new books to each child with a bookplate for his or her name

• Accompany each book give away session with a literacy activity; i.e. a story time, a field trip, music, family involvement in literacy, etc.

• Increase literacy awareness through media coverage of book distributions• Obtain funding for continued book purchases for RI's children without books.

Giving Books

Books are distributed to children through their enrollment in existing organizations like yours, such as schools, childcare facilities, faith-based organizations and other family-centered sites.
