  • Course Requirements

    Attendance:

Attendance for all 10 sessions is required to complete the course and receive the final certificate. Punctuality is also a must to avoid missing pertinent information and disruption to the flow of the class. If you need to miss class, or a portion of class, you must contact the Facilitator, via phone or email as soon as possible, prior to that session. In the case of excused absences, the participant may be able to take an alternate class as a “make up session” and still receive certificate. This must be approved by Jonna Mulvaney, Family Leadership Development Institute Coordinator. In the case of unexcused absences, work may not be able to be made up and result in the need to retake the entire course. ANY participant missing more than 20% of class time will be required to re-take the entire 10-week course to earn a certificate.

    Assignments:

All participants are required to complete any assignments in a timely fashion. While most assignments will be completed in class, if more time is needed for individual or group, assignments they will then be due by the beginning of the next scheduled along with the homework assignment. If you anticipate being unable to complete an assignment on time, it is your responsibility to notify the Coordinator prior to the due date. Late assignments may be emailed or faxed at the discretion of the Coordinator. Additional support will be made available upon request at the discretion of the instructor at a mutually agreeable time.

    Teaching Learning Methods:

Successful completion of this course will result in a certificate at the end of all 30 hours of this training. Objectives must be met as evaluated by self and instructor through a variety of assignments within class.
