RIPIN Rhode Runners at the CVS 5K All Kids Can

Your child can join RIPIN as a “Rhode Runner” for the CVS Caremark 5K Run.  This All Kids Can event is an inspirational event where any youth with a disability can have fun and participate in an non-competitive run on Sunday, Sepetmber 19, 2010 in Providence.

Youth with all disabilities are eligible to participate at no charge.

Family Fun Day 2010

Health, fitness and fun will be the name of the game at this year’s Family Fun Day for Children, Youth and Adults with Special Healthcare Needs and their Families.

Join us Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Goddard Park in Warwick. It’s a great opportunity for families to meet, share their experiences, network and learn more about the Family to Family Network of RI.  This is a group created by and for families of children with special needs and includes online support and informal gatherings of parents.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, blanket or lawn chair for comfort.

RIPIN Unveils Family Leadership Development Institute at Crown Plaza, Warwick

RIPIN and partners rolled out the new Family Leadership Development Institute
(FLDI)
to a crowd ofover 280 people at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Warwick on May 19th.

Dawn Wardyga, RIPIN; Craig Stenning, Director of MHRH; Gary Alexander, Director of DHS; Barbara Torres, RIPINA diverse group of parent leaders, educators, state policy makers, and healthcare providers came out to the Family Leadership Luncheon to learn more about this new initiative. FLDI’s goal is to develop a network of family leaders in Rhode Island to make a positive impact on schools, communities and in health care arenas.

Summer Workshop Series at RIPIN

All summer long RIPIN will continue to offer the information you need to help yourself and your family. These convenient “after work hours” workshops will be held onsite at our new Cranston facility.
