Individual Education Program (IEP): A Blueprint for Student Success

Each public school child who receives special education and related services must have an IEP designed to meet his/her unique needs. The IEP creates an opportunity for parents and school staff to work together to improve educational results for children with disabilities and is the cornerstone of a quality education for each child with a disability. This workshop provides an overview of the major components of the IEP as well as a step by step walkthrough of RI's newly designed IEP form. Groups have a choice of scheduling this workshop with a focus either on students age 3-13 or on secondary transition age students. (2 hours)
