Coastal Medical Family Liaison

A RIPIN Certified Community Health Worker (CCHW) who works closely with all of Coastal Medical’s practices, both practitioners and their patients. The Coastal Family Liaison serves an essential role and works collaboratively with their practitioners to provide high-risk patients with social determinants of health (SDOH) resources, supports with navigating general/special education, access to healthcare coverage, and access to medical and behavioral health services.

Katie Beckett Medicaid

RIPIN supports families that are seeking to obtain eligibility under the Katie Beckett Medicaid category that allows certain children who have long-term disabilities or complex medical needs to be cared for at home instead of in a hospital or an institution. Some families use Medicaid to cover services that aren’t covered by the child’s primary health insurance or for services that may have caps or limits on the amount of service.
